Elbow Flashlight

Elbow Flashlight

The Elbow Flashlight captures all of the light emitted by the LED.  The LED is positioned just off to the side of the barrel and is aimed at an off-axis parabola, which reflects all of the light forward to focus a spot of light.

Flashlights typically use a parabolic reflector, with a central LED, which captures only the outer rim of light to form the focused spot, leaving the central cone angle (the brightest part of the LED’s light) missing the reflector, and essentially wasted.
